Aspire Huntly Village is a childcare centre in the regional suburb of Huntly in Northern Bendigo. Located on Waratah Road, Aspire Huntly Village is conveniently positioned opposite a local park and playground, and a 3-minute drive from Huntly Primary School.

Childcare Centre Highlights

Incursions play a large role in the development and growth of each child. Aspire Huntly Village incorporates incursions to align with Aspire’s curriculum, as well as the interests of the children.

We offer exciting incursion programs that provide new experiences for the children and help them develop new interests and skills. These cover sport, music, art and drama, and are a highlight for the children at Aspire.

At Aspire Huntly Village, our in-centre chef prepares fresh and nutritious meals every day, guided by the Australian Dietary Guidelines. Our approach to food focuses on variety, balance, and mindful eating to support children’s healthy growth and development.

We focus on variety, balance and whole foods with each meal containing vegetables, fruit, whole grains, lean proteins and dairy. Our chefs also make mealtimes special, whether it's baking a birthday cake or preparing a festive spread to celebrate an occasion. Food is a meaningful and joyful part of our community.

Our Huntly Village childcare centre is staffed by a team of experienced and fully qualified educators who are committed to providing the best possible care for every child. We work in close collaboration with families and ensure that any personal needs and requests are accommodated. Our teachers possess comprehensive knowledge of both the Early Years Learning Framework and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, which offers every child the opportunity to succeed.

Our brand new, state-of-the-art childcare centre combines modern design with purpose-built learning spaces tailored for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. Each room is thoughtfully crafted to support a personalised curriculum that inspires curiosity, growth, and connection. In this innovative environment, your child will develop essential skills while fostering a strong sense of community and a lifelong love of learning.

The Huntly Village childcare centre features five purpose-built indoor rooms and spacious outdoor areas supporting children's development from six weeks to six years old. Each room is filled with high-quality educational toys, books, crafts, and imaginative play experiences, ensuring endless opportunities for discovery and fun every day!

Our service is a state-of-the-art facility with beautiful indoor and outdoor environments for children to learn and grow in. We have a beautiful, architecturally designed outdoor space that connects seamlessly with our indoor rooms. This makes it easy for children to move between the indoor and outdoor spaces, supporting a holistic learning experience for the children.

Early Education Programs

Aspire Early Education and Kindergarten operates in a long daycare setting and has four main education programs, tailored to each stage of early development. At Aspire, our quality education programs are designed to guide children’s learning and development by encouraging them to explore, discover and connect with others.

Our Baby Steps Nursery Program provides a nurturing environment, with daily activities and intentional teaching opportunities to support your child to reach developmental milestones. Our play-based learning approach allows children to learn through sensory play, as well as build a foundation for future learning. 

The Little Learners Toddler Program is designed to create an engaging environment that supports your toddler’s social and cognitive development. We provide a fun, play-based learning approach that engages their young and active minds within a safe and stimulating environment. 

Aspire’s Kickstart to Kinder program is specially designed for three-year-olds, offering a warm and engaging introduction to their kindergarten journey. Created in collaboration with kindergarten and local primary school teachers, the program supports each child’s social, emotional and early literacy development.

With a balance of structured and play-based learning, children are encouraged to explore their interests, build confidence and develop independence. This approach helps lay the foundation for a smooth transition into four-year-old kindergarten and a lifelong love of learning.

Aspire’s Step into Prep program is designed for four-year-olds to confidently prepare for primary school in a supportive and stimulating environment. Building on skills developed in earlier years, the program focuses on independence, communication, and critical thinking.

The program combines hands-on activities with intentional learning experiences designed to nurture curiosity and resilience. Our educators work closely with each child, tailoring support to their strengths and interests. This thoughtful approach helps children feel confident and ready to embrace the challenges and excitement of primary school.

Centre Manager

Brit Shaddock

Hello, my name is Brit, and I’m excited to introduce myself as the Centre Manager for the brand-new Aspire Huntly Village service. I bring with me 13.5 years of experience in the Early Childhood Education sector, supported by a Diploma of Early Childhood, Certificate III in Children’s Services, and a Certificate II in Business. For the past four years, I’ve been fortunate enough to be employed by Aspire, working in a range of roles including Centre Manager, Head of Curriculum, and Curriculum and Practice Lead within the Operations team. Each of these roles has deepened my understanding of what it takes to create thriving early learning environments and has fueled my passion for continuous improvement in our sector.

I am especially passionate about early brain development, knowing how critical the first five years are for growth. I love to draw on theory and research to inform teaching practices and curriculum decisions, always aiming to deliver meaningful learning outcomes for every child. I can’t wait to meet you and bring Aspire Huntly Village to life together!

Hi I'm Megan and I'm the Head of Curriculum at Aspire Huntly Village. I have over 10 years' experience in the early education sector where I've worked as a Diploma Educator, Room Leader and recently as an Early Childhood Teacher. With a strong foundation in instructional leadership and a deep commitment to equity in education, I inspire educators and students alike to reach their highest potential. I'm a passionate and forward-thinking educational leader dedicated to fostering inclusive, innovative, and student-centered learning environments.

In my free time, I can be found out in the bush or exploring new spots with her beautiful German Shephard Dog or at home reading a good book. I cannot wait to support the centre, meet new families and build strong connections with the Huntly community!
