Childcare Centre Highlights

Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten long daycare centres offer regular incursion programs that provide fun and engaging educational and learning experiences for the children. Some current stand-outs include:

  • A visit from a butterfly incursion program
  • Animal farm and bubble incursion
  • Yoga sessions every Thursday
  • AUSLAN lessons every Friday

Aspire childcare centres also run engaging and exciting excursions throughout the year. This differs from centre to centre, but may include excursions such as Bush Kinder, farm visits, walking to a local park or to local primary schools. These excursions further bolster the learning of students in every age group, as they align with Aspire's curriculum and the interests of the children.

At Aspire Cranbourne East, our in-centre chef prepares fresh and nutritious meals every day, guided by the Australian Dietary Guidelines. Our approach to food focuses on variety, balance, and mindful eating to support children’s healthy growth and development.

We focus on variety, balance and whole foods with each meal containing vegetables, fruit, whole grains, lean proteins and dairy. Our chefs also make mealtimes special, whether it's baking a birthday cake or preparing a festive spread to celebrate an occasion. Food is a meaningful and joyful part of our community.

Childcare Centre Facilities

Our purpose-built childcare facility sets the benchmark for early learning centres and caters to children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. The eight learning spaces have design features fit for each age group. These rooms foster a tailored curriculum throughout all stages of learning. Designed to help your child learn and grow, they will quickly develop a love of learning and a sense of community in their rooms.

Within our eight well-equipped indoor rooms, children participate in a range of daily activities including arts and crafts, music, sports, reading and more. We have a beautiful, architecturally designed outdoor space that connects seamlessly with our indoor rooms. This makes it easy for children to move between the indoor and outdoor spaces, supporting a holistic learning experience for the children.

The outdoor yard features different playground areas for each age group, with the standout of the centre being the amazing yellow school bus! The children are free to explore the bus as well as the other outdoor environments, including slides, sand pits, veggie gardens, and more.Additionally, our outdoor programs actively promote the message of environmental consciousness and sustainability.

Early Education Programs

Aspire Early Education and Kindergarten operates in a long daycare setting and has four main education programs, tailored to each stage of early development. At Aspire, our quality education programs are designed to guide children’s learning and development by encouraging them to explore, discover and connect with others.

Our Baby Steps Nursery Program provides a nurturing environment, with daily activities and intentional teaching opportunities to support your child in reaching developmental milestones. Our play-based learning approach allows children to learn through sensory play, as well as build a foundation for future learning.

The Little Learners Toddler Program is designed to create an engaging environment that supports your toddler’s social and cognitive development. We provide a fun, play-based learning approach that engages their young and active minds within a safe and stimulating environment.

Aspire’s Kickstart to Kinder program is specially designed for three-year-olds, offering a warm and engaging introduction to their kindergarten journey. Created in collaboration with kindergarten and local primary school teachers, the program supports each child’s social, emotional and early literacy development.

With a balance of structured and play-based learning, children are encouraged to explore their interests, build confidence and develop independence. This approach helps lay the foundation for a smooth transition into four-year-old kindergarten and a lifelong love of learning.

Aspire’s Step into Prep program is designed for four-year-olds to confidently prepare for primary school in a supportive and stimulating environment. Building on skills developed in earlier years, the program focuses on independence, communication, and critical thinking.

The program combines hands-on activities with intentional learning experiences designed to nurture curiosity and resilience. Our educators work closely with each child, tailoring support to their strengths and interests. This thoughtful approach helps children feel confident and ready to embrace the challenges and excitement of primary school.

Centre Manager

Sukhi Kaur

Hi, I’m Sukhi, Centre Manager at Cranbourne East.

I love working at Aspire. We provide high-quality support and education to children and knowing that I’m helping them develop the skills and confidence they need for their future is a huge source of pride. Aspire values continuous learning and development for both children and staff, and I’m always evolving in my role, which is incredibly fulfilling.

The Aspire value Inspiring and Nurturing resonates with me the most. I’m dedicated to fostering an environment where children feel inspired to explore, learn and grow. By offering support to children and families, we help build stronger communities and create healthy, supportive relationships.

I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, as well as a Diploma in Business Management. My career with Aspire began as an in-house chef at one of our centres, before I transitioned into an educator role. That’s when my childcare journey truly began, focusing on early childhood development and working closely with children to foster their social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Over time, I stepped into leadership positions, supervising teams and ensuring the highest standards in child safety, behaviour management, and developmental milestones. I have also worked closely with parents to offer support and resources, aiming to create a consistent and nurturing environment for children both inside and outside the centre.

In my current role as Centre Manager, I feel fortunate to work alongside like-minded individuals who share a passion for childcare. This sense of teamwork and mutual respect allows us to create the best environment for our children, families, community and my team.

Educational Leader

Sharenya Umakanthan

Hi, I’m Sharenya, Head of Curriculum at Cranbourne East.

I love working at Aspire. Being part of a passionate and dedicated team that puts children at the heart of everything we do is exactly what I need! I also really value that Aspire provides an environment where educators are empowered to grow and thrive alongside the children.

The Aspire value Inspiring and Nurturing resonates with me the most. I believe in lifelong learning, not just for children, but for families and educators too. Seeing others grow through meaningful experiences and guidance is one of the most rewarding parts of my role.

I hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching and a Diploma in Montessori Education. I’ve completed a variety of professional development courses focused on leadership, inclusion, and curriculum design. Since 2013, I’ve worked in early childhood education across various roles and settings. These experiences have shaped my understanding of children’s development and helped build my approach to team leadership.

In my current role, I work closely with educators to ensure our programs are intentional, inclusive, and responsive to children’s needs. Creating a positive, inclusive culture where everyone feels heard and valued is central to how I lead every day. I’m passionate about honouring each child’s cultural identity and embedding inclusive practices into our everyday curriculum. I also have a strong interest in the Montessori philosophy and its alignment with child-led learning.
