Childcare Centre Highlights

We offer exciting incursion programs at Aspire that provide new experiences for the children and help them develop new interests and skills. These cover sport, music, art and drama, and are a highlight for the children at Aspire.

The centre also offers one-off incursion programs throughout the term. Some recent standouts include:

  • Mini Beasts bug incursion
  • Kid Draw art incursion
  • Science and dental incursion

Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten centres frequently run engaging and exciting excursions throughout the year. This differs from centre to centre, but may include excursions such as Bush Kinder, farm visits, walking to a local park or to local primary schools. These excursions further bolster the learning of students in every age group, as they align with Aspire's curriculum and the interests of the children.

Aspire childcare centres provide nutritious daily meals to each child. Meals adhere to the Nutrition Australia Dietary Guidelines, ensuring that each child, regardless of dietary requirements, receives delicious meals each day. Aspire's amazing chefs also love to create special moments for our children and staff, making birthday cakes or delicious spreads of food to celebrate special occasions.

Centre Facilities

Our purpose-built facility sets the benchmark for early learning centres and caters to children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. Aspire Kalkallo is one of our largest centres with nine learning spaces, fit for each different age group. These rooms foster a tailored curriculum throughout all stages of learning and are designed to help your child grow and thrive.

Within our nine well-equipped indoor rooms, children participate in a range of daily activities including arts and craft, music, sports, reading and more. We have a beautiful, architecturally designed outdoor space that connects seamlessly with our indoor rooms. This makes it easy for children to move between the indoor and outdoor spaces, supporting a holistic learning experience for the children.

The spacious outdoor yard features a playground with different areas for each age group. The standout of the outdoor yard is Kalkallo’s cute Kombi van – the first of our Aspire centres! Children are free to explore the Kombi van as well as the other outdoor environments, including sand pits, veggie gardens, rock climbing features, and more.Additionally, our programs actively promote the message of environmental consciousness and sustainability.

Kalkallo Early Education Programs

Aspire Early Education and Kindergarten operates in a long daycare setting and has four main education programs, tailored to each stage of early development. At Aspire, our quality education programs are designed to guide children’s learning and development by encouraging them to explore, discover and connect with others.

Our Baby Steps Nursery Program provides a nurturing environment, with daily activities and intentional teaching opportunities to support your child to reach developmental milestones. Our play-based learning approach allows children to learn through sensory play, as well as build a foundation for future learning.

The Little Learners Toddler Program is designed to create an engaging environment that supports your toddler’s social and cognitive development. We provide a fun, play-based learning approach that engages their young and active minds within a safe and stimulating environment.

Aspire’s Kickstart to Kinder program is specially designed for three-year-olds, offering a warm and engaging introduction to their kindergarten journey. Created in collaboration with kindergarten and local primary school teachers, the program supports each child’s social, emotional and early literacy development.

With a balance of structured and play-based learning, children are encouraged to explore their interests, build confidence and develop independence. This approach helps lay the foundation for a smooth transition into four-year-old kindergarten and a lifelong love of learning.

Aspire’s Step into Prep program is designed for four-year-olds to confidently prepare for primary school in a supportive and stimulating environment. Building on skills developed in earlier years, the program focuses on independence, communication, and critical thinking.

The program combines hands-on activities with intentional learning experiences designed to nurture curiosity and resilience. Our educators work closely with each child, tailoring support to their strengths and interests. This thoughtful approach helps children feel confident and ready to embrace the challenges and excitement of primary school.

The Victorian Government offers funding to provide families with up to 15 hours of free kindergarten a week, in addition to the Childcare Subsidy. The funding offsets the fees for three and four-year-old children that are part of the centre’s long daycare kindergarten program.

As of 2025, families can save up to $2,101 a year for eligible children aged three years old and above in eligible long daycares. This is in addition to the Child Care Subsidy. Use our CCS Calculator to estimate your child care subsidy & out-of-pocket costs.

The Free Kinder program is designed to ensure all children have access to the benefits of early learning and give them a strong foundation for a successful school experience.

I believe that children thrive when they feel a sense of belonging, when their voices are heard, and when they are supported to develop confidence, resilience, and independence. I am committed to fostering an inclusive environment where diversity is celebrated and every child is encouraged to shine in their own way.

What Our Families Have To Say

★★★★★

The staff had immensely helped ease my daughter’s anxiety over coming into daycare. She initially dreaded it and screechily cries when she’s in.
It took us long but we finally did it!

The educators especially in Room 3, management and all staff there are all so patient with her and they all worked together and not to mention communicated with us parents.
These had definitely contributed to her feeling safe, being able to nap for at least two hours and eat full servings there.

Amazing. I have been greeted, always with big smile when I visit the centre. I would especially like to thank the educators in Room 6, for being so patient, kind and encouraging throughout my boy’s potty training. My boy loves coming here.
Thank you for organising events and including all family members. Keep up the good work Aspire, Kalkallo!

My one year old loves being here and his educators are very helpful and caring. My son stopped his milk feeds during the day after coming here because he's eating so well in the centre as opposed to home. I'm so thankful to all the staff and management team at Aspire Kalkallo for helping my child in an easy transition.
