Morning

Each room commences its intentional teaching opportunities for the day.
As part of the Aspire curriculum, the children enjoy a range of extra-curricular activities. After morning tea, the children enjoy sports, music, drawing and language programs. Each experience gives children the opportunity to learn new skills and supports the development of their fine and gross motor skills.

Afternoon

Programs and lesson plans are designed around the children’s interests, needs and strengths. Play-based learning opportunities and activities explore creativity, literacy & numeracy, science, construction, drama, music & dance, and sustainability & natural resources. Depending on the weather, activities are held indoors or in the outdoor environment.

After lunch, children have the opportunity to rest or nap. Once children are rested, there is time for intentional teaching and mindfulness practices to wind down from the events of the day.

In the late afternoon, each room continues with the Aspire curriculum which is tailored to your child’s class and their individual needs.

Lunch

Lunch is provided in the early afternoon. Our centres have a rotating seasonal menu that is developed following the Healthy Eating Advisory Service's Menu planning guidelines for long day care.

During mealtimes, self-serving and independence are encouraged and promoted as children are provided with opportunities to serve their meals, pour drinks, and set up and pack up from meal routines.
