2024 Unwrapped – Aspire’s Biggest Year Yet!
What a year it has been at Aspire Early Education and Kindergarten, the biggest year yet! With 14 new centres opened, 15 community events, and thousands of children’s lives impacted, it has been a busy 12 months. Let’s have a look at the year that’s been and get ready for an even bigger 2025!
As always, Aspire Early Education’s community events are a highlight of the year. Centre families and community members alike attend these exciting events to celebrate holidays and strengthen the community.
One of the most memorable events this year was Aspire Pakenham’s Spring Carnival event! Despite being postponed to a week later, nearly 700 guests came to the event and had a wonderful time. Some highlights include the farm animals from Myuna Farm, pony rides and drawing lessons with Denver from Sketchroo. There were many tasty food options too, including freshly popped popcorn, twisty potatoes and hot drinks.
Another unique event was at Aspire Bendigo – Kennington. To commemorate National Children’s Book Week, the centre held a huge Book Week event for the community. Guests dressed up as their favourite book characters, with a competition held to decide who was best dressed. A baby dressed up as Spot the Dog won the competition, too cute! Attendees loved the face painting at the event, as well as a DJ pumping out the tunes. Inside the centre, immersive book-themed activities and some incredible book-themed food added to the event, and further instilled a love of books and reading in all.
In October, Aspire Early Education and Kindergarten hosted its second Aspire Awards Gala. It truly was an incredible and glamorous night that celebrated the talented and hard-working Aspire team. Several awards were presented on the night, including Trainee of the Year, Leader in Innovation, Support Office Team Member of the Year and Centre of the Year. Everyone had a fabulous time eating, dancing and connecting with each other.
The 2024 Aspire Awards Gala was an unforgettable evening, shining a spotlight on the outstanding talent within our people and centres. We’re already counting down to celebrating again next year!
Aspire is proud to have supported the incredible Life’s Little Treasures Foundation (LTTF) for a second year in 2024. This year has been a busy one, with many campaigns running throughout the year to support their important work. Then in April, Aspire held a number of Picnic for Prems events across Australia to get some fresh air, eat some yummy food and, most importantly, raise funds and awareness for LLTF. In total, families and friends at Aspire centres generously raised $1,294 during the Picnic for Prems campaign.
Later in the year, to align with Children’s Book Week, Aspire centres held a book drive to donate brand-new books for LLTF to give to siblings of NICU babies. There were so many books donated that we couldn’t count, with enough to fill up a whole car with little room to spare.
Finally, the biggest LLTF event of the year was the annual Walk for Prems event. Aspire proudly supported Life’s Little Treasures Foundation by actively participating in its premier fundraising event. Some of the Aspire team set up a marquee with fun sensory activities for young and old alike. Team members from a number of Aspire centres also came on the day and walked with the thousands of participants. Aspire also helped announce next year’s LLTF Walk for Prems campaign on the day, which will be a trek from Sydney, all the way to Melbourne whilst pushing a NICU incubator! Altogether, LLTF raised over $500,000 throughout their Walk for Prems campaign, with Aspire donations contributing to this final number.
What an incredible organisation and year. We can’t wait to see how we can support families through our partnership in the new year.
2024 was truly a massive year of growth for Aspire Early Education and Kindergarten, and it is thanks to our wonderful families, team members and community for making it so special. We would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season and New Year, and we look forward to continuing to “Connect, Learn and Grow” in 2025!
