Aspire Clyde North Moments – 2023 Recap
2023 was an exciting year for Aspire Early Education Clyde North, with lots of fun events, activities and memories made. The children, educators and support staff had a wonderful year. Relive your favourite Clyde North moments from 2023 below!
Clyde North has had a lot of fun with many incursions being held throughout the year.
A favourite visitor was Karuna’s Kreative Kollection, who guided the children in cultural Bollywood dancing! The children were decked out in cultural outfits and were immersed in the rhythm and movement of the music. Beyond the energetic beats, this cultural dance experience provided numerous benefits. The children not only had fun with physical exercise but also improved their coordination, balance, and spatial awareness.
A regular to the Clyde North centre is the Henny Penny team. For two weeks, the four-year-old kinder children watch as chicken eggs incubate and eventually hatch. The children were full of excitement when the baby chicks emerged from their shells! Learning about the lifecycle of a chicken and how to take care of them develops the children’s sense of compassion, kindness, and care.
Easily one of the most memorable, and most heartwarming, days of this year was when the centre was visited by residents of local Homestyle Aged Care Langford Range. Seeing the elderly residents interact so kindly with the children was a true delight.
The residents were welcomed in style, being offered a beautiful bunch of native flowers, created by the Waratah children. As well as this, each room arranged meaningful experiences where residents engaged with children and participated in activities.
The children beautifully sung a variety of songs, some remembered by the residents in their youth. Creativity flourished with a shared painting activity, which the children and residents alike enjoyed. Bridging the gap between generations was a highlight, and showed that despite a difference in age, we all share creativity.
Since the centre has a great connection with the local community, we wanted to celebrate the special day in a meaningful way. Clyde North’s children were educated about care, respect, and empathy through this visit.
The centre finished with a bang with the incredible Clyde North Community Christmas Market! This night was enjoyed by many centre families and friends, as well as the wider community. Filled with local stallholders and a smorgasbord of delicious food trucks, there was something for all to enjoy.
Undoubtedly the most exciting part of the night was when a special jolly, present-giving friend made an appearance…
The children were beside themselves with joy when Santa Claus himself walked into the market! Giving out gifts to all the boys and girls, and stopping for some photo ops, Santa brought a truly festive touch to the occasion.
