Community Christmas Market Festivities at Aspire Clyde North
Christmas came early to Aspire Clyde North with a successful Community Christmas Market! Friday the 17th of November rung in the festive season to the centre, with decorations aplenty and cheery live music. There was even a visit from a jolly, gift-giving friend!
A highlight of the night was the range of local market stalls. Ten small businesses from the local area set up shop in the Clyde North carpark to sell their wares. Ranging from fragrant, handmade soaps to flashy kid’s toys, to fresh cookies, there was something for everyone. It made for the perfect way to get the Christmas shopping done early!
As well as market stalls, there was a variety of delicious food trucks and vendors serving out tasty treats. You could get your potato fix from Twisty Taters, cheesy arancini balls from Arancini Mann and fragrant curries and other southeast Asian delights from Green Cabin Café. It was difficult to decide where to eat first!
Plenty of activities for the kids were on offer. Beautiful bubbles dotted the sky thanks to our talented bubble artist, after that, the children loved getting their faces painted. There were so many colourfully painted faces running around the market!
We also enjoyed live music from the forever talented Duo101. It added to the great community atmosphere, and the kids loved dancing to the catchy tunes.
Most importantly, a guest flew in direct from the North Pole! Santa Claus visited the Community Christmas Market to spread festive cheer and give gifts to the children. He was also kind enough to sit for some lovely family pictures, making him the evening’s highlight for many.
All in all, the Aspire Clyde North Community Christmas Market was a festive evening to remember! Thank you to everyone who attended, helped out, and offered their services to the market. We are so excited for our next community event.
