Aspire Berwick Waters Opens its Centre to the Community
On Saturday 25th of November, Aspire Berwick Waters held an Open Day Event that invited families and the local community to explore the centre, participate in engaging experiences and meet the Berwick Waters team.
We were fortunate enough to have three of our incursion partners run activities on the day, to showcase the programs we offer at the centre for our different age groups.
Little Sports Heroes is a specialised sports program that encourages children to engage their physical and sporting skills through a variety of different sports, games, and activities. They joined our open day and provided a throwing board, and other fun ball activities for the children to enjoy.
Hey Dee Ho, our music incursion partner, also attended and provided interactive singing and dancing activities. Regular participation in music and movement improves memory, language, social skills, and confidence.
We also had our Art Incursion partner SketchRoo attend and supply fun drawings that allowed children to explore their creative side. SketchRoo workshops are led by talented illustrators, who will take children through creative projects with step-by-step instructions and exercises that they can follow along too.

The Berwick Waters team and kitchen staff also provided in-house food sampling, which showcased some of the delicious food we have on our menus. The food was a great hit with parents and children. We also had a special visit from the Minions, who also had fun participating in some of our activities!
