Yimba Yumba Incursion at Aspire Pakenham
Aspire Pakenham engaged in various activities during Early Learning Matters Week, to recognise the positive impact of early childhood education in children’s development and wellbeing.
We were privileged to have Aunty Karan, who is a qualified Wayapa Practitioner and owner of Yimba Yumba, run an incursion for our kindergarten children. Yimba Yumba is an exciting renewed ancient Aboriginal earth connection practice that shares the importance of connecting to the Earth to sustain the health and wellbeing of the planet and of ourselves.
It is a newly developed Early Learning Program that builds the children’s understanding, curiosity and connection to the Earth through a range of educational activities and tools.
The children loved Aunty Karan and learning more about our connection to the Earth through this meaningful and interactive structure.
