One Month of Fun at Aspire Deanside Village!
Aspire Early Education and Kindergarten Deanside Village has now been open for one month. There have been so many fun moments and learning experiences so far, read on to see what we have been up to!
Towards the end of October, Aspire Deanside Village invited many grandparents and special friends to the centre for Grandparents' Day. There were plenty of fun activities that the children and their guests participated in. The children kicked a footy around in the playground, made some handprint art, and had a yummy afternoon tea.
Building these family connections is important as the centre grows. It was a joy to celebrate such an important day with the special people in our children’s lives.
The children at the centre have set up a gorgeous sustainability garden for the centre to use. The children absolutely loved this gardening experience and getting their hands dirty. We spent time setting up a space for children of all ages to spend time in nature to play and learn in. The children planted many kinds of flowers, herbs and vegetables in the garden. These tasks required hand-eye coordination, manipulation of objects and balance, making it a great way for the children to hone these abilities.
Gardening also encourages children to respect the environment and learn about the plant cycle as the plants continue to grow.
At Aspire Deanside Village, the children are settling beautifully into their new environment. Educators recently set up a vibrant painting activity to encourage exploration and artistic creativity. Painting offers a rich, multi-sensory experience that allows children to freely express themselves. It has also given the rooms many gorgeous pieces of art to decorate the walls with!
This aligns with the National Quality Standard, which champions high-quality physical environments that inspire competence, independence, and play-based learning (NQS Standard 3.2).
