Meet Teagan – Centre Manager at Aspire Thornhill Park

At Aspire Early Education and Kindergarten Thornhill Park, Centre Manager Teagan Mumford brings over ten years of experience in early childhood education. She actively creates a welcoming and high-quality learning environment through her strong commitment and hands-on leadership.

Her journey in the sector has seen her grow through a range of roles, including Educator, Lead Educator, Assistant Centre Manager, WHS Officer, and now Centre Manager. Each role has helped shape her leadership style. They also strengthened her ability to create an enriching, inclusive environment for children, families, and educators.
Teagan is Tertiary educated and is deeply passionate about being part of such a formative stage in a child’s life. She believes the first five years are incredibly special, and she feels privileged to help guide, nurture, and support children through this important time. She builds collaborative partnerships with children, families, and her team, while actively fostering a strong sense of community and belonging.
One of the things Teagan values most about working at Aspire is the strong network of support and guidance that empowers her to continue growing as a professional. She appreciates that Aspire provides the tools and encouragement she needs to reach her full potential while continuing to do the work she loves every day.
Of Aspire’s core values, Empowering Excellence is the one that resonates most with Teagan. She takes pride in implementing new strategies and initiatives that raise the bar for quality. This is not just for the benefit of children, but also for families and the wider team. Her leadership is proactive, thoughtful, and always guided by a desire to deliver the best possible outcomes.

Although she grew up in Melbourne’s south-east, Teagan now enjoys working in the western suburbs. In this space, she has had the opportunity to work with children and families from a wide range of backgrounds. This diversity has broadened her perspective and helped her gain a deeper understanding of the different needs and strengths within early childhood communities across Melbourne.
Teagan’s experience, passion, and inclusive leadership style make her a valued member of the Aspire team. Under Teagan’s leadership, Aspire Thornhill Park thrives as a centre that supports children, welcomes families, and empowers educators.
