Meet Shashi, Clyde North's New Centre Manager
Shashika Kuruppu is the Centre Manager at Aspire Clyde North and is a much-loved member of the centre community. So much so that everyone calls her by her nickname, Shashi. She has recently stepped into the Centre Manager role at Aspire Clyde North after her time as Centre Support Coordinator. Learn more about Shashi and her journey.
Shashika began her journey with Aspire in 2021 as the Toddler Room Leader at the Clyde North centre. She chose Aspire as her career path in early childhood education because of the organisation’s strong support for educators in achieving their career goals. This, along with its commitment to providing quality care and education to young children.
Since joining the Aspire family, Shashika has received tremendous support from Kylie, Durga, and Anjie. Because of their mentorship, she enjoys working in a collaborative and appreciative team environment.
Shashika recently completed her Bachelor of Early Childhood Education through Swinburne University to further enhance her knowledge and provide quality care for the children in her centre. Coming from a Sri Lankan background, she values and respects the diversity within the Clyde North community.
Outside of work, Shashika is a mother of two young daughters who keep her busy at home. As well as them, she draws inspiration from her beloved husband, who continuously motivates her and is her source of strength in every success.
As Centre Manager, Shashika is committed to maintaining the highest standards of care and education at Clyde North. By implementing best practices and fostering strong relationships with families and the local community, she aims to support each child’s development through an enriching educational program.
Serving as the Centre Manager at Aspire Early Education Clyde North has been an honour for her. Shashika looks forward to continuing her successful career with Aspire and is a proud member of the Aspire family.
