Meet Ophelia – The new Centre Manager at Aspire Butler

We are thrilled to be opening a new Aspire early education centre soon in Butler Western Australia. Joining the centre as the wonderful Centre Manager is Ophelia (or Phe). We are so excited to have her onboard with her wealth of knowledge and passion for the early education industry.
Get to know more about Ophelia, her insights, teaching philosophies and passions below.
Ophelia has over 12 years’ experience in early education, holding a Diploma in Early Childhood and on her way to completing a Bachelor in Early Education.
Her goal is for all children and families to feel safe, secure, and supported throughout their time here at Aspire Early Education. As an early childhood educator, Ophelia believes that we as educators are responsible for providing infants, toddlers, and young children with positive and supportive learning experiences. She aims to model respect, patience, and care for all children and families.
Ophelia says, “Each child learns in a different way and at a different pace.” She believes some learn by observing others, while some by getting straight into it. Our role is to support each child’s different needs and learning.
She is deeply passionate about creating a space where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn. Seeing children reach their milestones and grow into confident, capable individuals gives her great pride and a reminder of why she loves the job. Ophelia believes that children are our future, and it’s our role as educators to guide and support them as they learn and thrive.
Over the years, she’s learnt that children need consistent support, understanding, and respect to feel safe and confident as they grow.
Ophelia’s teaching philosophy is based on Attachment Theory, which highlights the importance of strong, trusting relationships between children and educators. She believes in guiding each child at their own pace, encouraging curiosity, and celebrating every achievement along the way.
While learning at home is incredibly valuable, a dedicated early childhood education setting offers unique opportunities for children to learn and grow alongside their peers. Between myself other educators, together, we prioritise safety, wellbeing, and education, creating a welcoming and caring environment where children can truly thrive.
“I believe strong partnerships with families are at the heart of quality early learning.” Ophelia maintains open, honest, and respectful communication with families. She actively listens to families feedback and involves them in their child’s learning journey. By working together, we build trust and ensure every child feels supported both at home and at the centre.
Ophelia is looking forward to welcoming families to the new Butler early education centre. She is excited for this new chapter in her early education journey and leading a new centre.
Fun fact? Ophelia and her beautiful family loves learning Burmese together! Her partner is Burmese so it is meaningful to her and her family.
