Meet Kerry - Aspire Mickleham's New Centre Manager


Aspire Early Education Mickleham is a brand-new Aspire centre opening in Mickleham in early 2026. We are so excited to welcome Kerry Gibbs, who has joined us as Mickleham's Centre Manager! Kerry comes with a wealth of experience and industry knowledge, and a passion for building strong and caring relationships with all children and families. Kerry has worked in early childhood education and care for the last 42 years. During this time, she has held various roles, progressing from an untrained educator to a Diploma Qualified Educator, Lead Educator, Assistant Centre Manager and Centre Manager role. She has been a Centre Manager for over 20 years now and loves working in this leadership role.
Kerry obtains a Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Childcare and has also completed a Diploma in Leadership and Management with the Australian Institute of Management. She has also completed her Food Safety Supervisors Certificate, First Aid Training, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma management training.
Kerry's leadership style is reflective of both transformational and adaptive leadership. She prides herself on professionalism, with families and children at the forefront of everything she does as a Centre Leader.
She says, "I believe in providing quality education and care for the children and being an advocate for all children and my team." Kerry takes extreme pride in the presentation of her centre and the ability to support her team of educators. She enjoys mentoring her team and recognises the importance of drawing on the individual strengths of her team members to help them reach their full potential.
Kerry is extremely passionate about building strong and caring relationships with all children and families. She is a dedicated, passionate early childhood educator and believes that by providing opportunities and experiences that foster children’s independence and curiosity we can help all children to reach their full potential.

Kerry says, "I value the connections I make with my team, children and families and am always available to talk when needed, providing an open-door policy for all families and my team."
She believes in building strong connections within the community and values input from all stakeholders. This helps to reflect on our practices to grow, learn and become the best centre we can be while meeting the needs of our community.
Outside of work, Kerry is a mother of two amazing daughters and is blessed to have 4 adorable grandchildren to love and spoil. In her spare time, she loves to play lawn bowls, where her competitive side really comes out!
She takes great pride in her work and the quality of care her centre can provide and lives by the quote “Failing to prepare, is preparing to fail”.
Kerry says, 'I am so excited to begin my journey with Aspire Early Education and Kindergarten and look forward to bringing my experience and knowledge to a new centre where I can build connections with the families and mentor a new team of educators with a company whose values align with my personal values."
