Kate's career journey

Kate has been working in the Early Childcare Education sector for 27 years. Throughout Kate's career, she has had the privilege of working in many different roles and has witnessed countless changes across the industry. While regulations, frameworks and practices have changed over time, one thing remained constant for Kate - which is her passion for supporting children and families.

What drew her to Aspire

Kate was drawn to Aspire because of the strong focus on building relationships with families and becoming a trusted part of their child's early learning journey.

She says, "It's a privledge to support children during such an important stage of their development and to work in partnership with families as they navigate these formative years."

Kate finds immense joy in watching children grow in confidence, develop new skills, build friendships, and achieve important milestones. From their very first days in care through to their transition to school, Kate finds it incredibly fulfilling to play a role in helping children feel safe, valued, and supported as they learn and thrive.

Her approach to leadership and passion for the industry

Kate's leadership approach is centered around creating nurturing environments where every child feels a strong sense of belonging, every family feels welcomed and respected, and every educator is empowered to deliver high-quality care and education. She says "I firmly believe that positive experiences and strong relationships in the early years lay the foundation for lifelong learning and wellbeing."

After more than two decades in the sector, Kate remain as passionate and motivated as ever. She says "The opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of children and families continues to inspire me each day. Early Childhood Education is far more than a career for me—it is a vocation that I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of, and one that brings purpose and fulfilment to my life every day."
