Meet Jelena – the new Centre Manager at Aspire Hemingway!

We are excited to introduce Jelena as the new Centre Manager at Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Hemingway. Joining the team recently, we are thrilled to have her onboard with her wealth of expertise and love for the industry.

Jelena's career journey

Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Heningway is delighted to welcome Jelena into this new chapter of her career, bringing more than a decade of experience in the early childhood sector. Jelenda holds a Master’s degree in Primary Education, alongside formal qualifications in Early Childhood Education and Care, which she completed in Melbourne. Throughout her career, Jelena has had the opportunity to grow and learn through a variety of roles within the sector. Each experience has helped shape her understanding of what it means to create an environment where children, families, and educators feel valued, supported, and connected.

What drew her to Aspire

For Jelena, working in early childhood is about much more than education and care. It is about being part of the foundations that help children develop confidence, curiosity, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning. Jelena's passion for the industry comes from seeing the incredible growth that takes place during these early years and knowing that educators have the opportunity to make a positive impact every day. Jelena is particularly passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child feels a genuine sense of belonging. She believes every child is unique and deserves to be supported as they learn, explore, build relationships, and discover the world around them.

Her approach to leadership and passion for the industry

With years of experience across different roles, Jelena’s leadership style has developed around strong relationships, teamwork, support, and leading by example. Jelena believes that great teams are built on trust, respect, and open communication. By supporting educators and working collaboratively, Jelena aims to create a positive environment where everyone feels confident to share ideas, learn from one another, and contribute to the centre community. Open and respectful communication is an important part of her approach, particularly when building genuine partnerships with children, families, and educators. Whether it is supporting an educator, connecting with a family, or watching a child achieve something for the first time, Jelena values the everyday moments that make early childhood education so rewarding.

Outside of work

Outside of her professional life, Jelena is a creative at heart. She is also an artist who enjoys painting and creating art, giving her plenty of opportunities to express her creativity outside of her professional life. When she is not working or creating, Jelena loves spending time with her family and her dog. She enjoys exploring new places, getting outdoors, and making the most of time spent with the people and things she loves. Her creativity, curiosity, and appreciation for connection are qualities that she brings not only to her personal life, but also to her role as Centre Manager.
