Jayde's career journey

Jayde has been working in the Early Childhood Education industry since 2011 and has worked across a variety of roles throughout her career. She strongly believes that to effectively lead and support a team, it is essential to have firsthand experience in the roles within it. Her diverse experience across the sector has provided her with a strong understanding of how to support children, families, educators, and centre communities, while fostering positive, inclusive, and welcoming environments for all.

She is passionate about ongoing learning and professional growth. Throughout her career, Jayde has developed a strong passion for building meaningful relationships with families, supporting educators, and creating nurturing learning environments where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to grow in confidence and independence.

What drew her to Aspire

Jayde was drawn to Aspire because of the strong focus on relationships, community, and creating positive environments for children, families, and educators.

She says, "Aspires values align closely with my own beliefs around creating supportive spaces where every child feels a genuine sense of belonging and is encouraged to achieve their individual goals."

Connection is the Aspire value that resonates most strongly with Jayde. She believes strong relationships are at the heart of quality early childhood education, and that meaningful connections with children, families, educators, and the wider community help create an environment where children feel safe, supported, and confident to learn and grow.

Her approach to leadership and passion for the industry

Jayde's leadership approach is centred around creating a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment where children feel encouraged to explore, learn, and build confidence in their abilities. She values open communication, supportive relationships, and creating a centre culture where families feel connected and reassured in their child’s care.

Jayde is most passionate about supporting children’s wellbeing, confidence, emotional intelligence, and individual development. She says, "I love creating meaningful learning experiences that allow children to feel successful, capable, and celebrated for who they are."

Outside of work

Outside of work, Jayde is a mum to two extraordinary (biased opinion) twin girls who keep life busy, fun, and full of adventure. On the weekends, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

She is thrilled to join the Aspire Huntly team though and looks forward to welcoming families and building strong relationships within our centre and community!
