Isabella's Journey as Kennington’s First Trainee

Aspire Early Education Bendigo – Kennington has a team full of exceptional and talented educators. One of these people is Isabella, Bendigo’s first trainee! Read on to learn more about Issy and her journey at Aspire Kennington.

Isabella's journey at Kennington Aspire started in February 2022. As the first trainee at the centre, this longevity reflects her remarkable growth and dedication. Her time began in the kindergarten room as a Kinder assistant and transitioned through various roles. Then she spent time in the Adventurer’s Toddler room, and is currently positioned in the Nursery Hub.

Her recent completion of a Certificate III marked a significant achievement, becoming fully qualified through hands-on experience and on-the-job learning. We are so proud of what Issy has achieved throughout both her studies and time at our centre.

Isabella, affectionately known as Issy, has become an integral part of the team, cherished by both colleagues and families alike. Often the heart of social gatherings, everyone loves her vibrant presence and ability to bring joy.

For Isabella, this role is more than just work, it's a passion ignited by the opportunity to create supportive communities and form strong bonds with children and families. Her journey is not only a testament to personal growth but also a reflection of her commitment to nurturing welcoming environments where everyone feels valued and supported.

Amanda: 

Issy’s relationships with the children are beautiful, Issy has this most amazing aura that uplifts the room and a beautiful addition to the team. Her communication and relationships with the families is highly value and always spoken about by the families and the team.

Jenny:

Issy is an amazing educator who has a great balance on firmness and kindness with her interactions with children. She keeps whatever space she is in as neat as a pin.

An observation of her lying down outside to feed a child who wanted lunch is a snapshot of who Issy is. Taking initiative and seeking to meet the needs of others. We are blessed to have her on our team.

Brit, Kara and Cass:

Issy has been an amazing asset to the team, and we have loved watching her grow and learn. It’s also been an incredible journey watching Issy from the start of her Traineeship now and the growth and development we have seen from her personally and professionally.

Over the past 12 months, I've had the incredible privilege of working closely with Isabella, supporting her through her studies and witnessing her natural talent for interacting with children and enhancing their learning journeys.

Claudia:

From day one, Isabella demonstrated an instinctive ability to connect with children and support their development. As she gained more confidence and knowledge, she created beautiful learning experiences and mastered the curriculum. Her dedication and skill quickly made her my right hand in programming and planning whenever I was away.

It has been an honour to watch Isabella grow into the confident, capable educator she is today. Congratulations, Isabella! Your hard work and passion have truly paid off.

It is clear that Isabella is truly valued and adored by everyone at the centre. Aspire truly appreciates all trainees and encourages our team members to find further education to boost their skills, knowledge and career.
