Meet Edina Tuirirangi: Centre Manager at Aspire Baldivis

With over 25 years of experience in early childhood education, Edina Tuirirangi brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and leadership to her role as Centre Manager at Aspire Baldivis. Her journey began at just 17 years old in New Zealand, where she started as a teacher in training and quickly fell in love with the early education sector.
In 2012, Edina moved to Australia and began her professional chapter in Kalgoorlie before settling in Perth in 2014. Throughout her career, she has worn many hats. From educator and educational leader to centre manager and, most notably, state operations manager. Although she’s held senior roles, Edina has returned to centre management, where her heart lies, so that she can balance her career with precious time spent with family.
Edina earned a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood and draws inspiration from Aspire’s strong commitment to quality education and meaningful relationships. The Aspire value that resonates most with her is Building Trust. This is because it mirrors her own belief in nurturing meaningful, reciprocal connections with children, families, and educators.
As a leader, Edina cultivates a collaborative, respectful environment where her team feels supported and empowered. She’s passionate about creating learning spaces that inspire curiosity and encourage growth for both children and educators alike.
Beyond the centre, Edina actively supports cancer awareness through her involvement with many causes. She participates in the Daffodil Chef Dinner, the HBF Run for a Reason, and aWA Breast Cancer Support Group. In her free time, she enjoys exploring with her loved ones and creating lifelong memories with them.
Edina’s warmth, experience, and passion for early education make her an invaluable part of the Aspire Baldivis community. When you visit the centre, make sure you say hello and make her feel welcome.
