Meet Aspire White Hill’s New Centre Manager – Lizz!

Aspire Early Education White Hills Bendigo has recently welcomed new Centre Manager - Lizz Tatt! Lizz has been a great addition to the White Hills team, and we are excited to see her early education experience and knowledge thrive at the centre. Learn more about Lizz in our blog below!
Centre Manager Lizz’s early education journey began in 2004/2005 when she studied her Diploma at the local TAFE in Bendigo. In 2006 she began working fulltime as a Lead Educator across a couple of different services. While her children were young, she worked part time, but in 2020 she decided it was time to return to a Lead Educator role, and in 2021 became an Assistant Manager. However, when the Centre Manager role opened at Aspire White Hills, she knew she was keen for the challenge, and is now thrilled to be working at Aspire as a Centre Manager.
Lizz says, “So far I have loved meeting all the Aspire families and getting to know the children. The staff have all been so welcoming and supportive while I’ve settled into this new role”.
From a young age, Lizz has always had an interest in taking care of young children and supporting their growth and development. After leaving high school and attending a TAFE Open Day, her interest in furthering her studies in children’s development started. This is when she began working in Early Education and from here, she hasn’t looked back. Lizz loves the rewarding aspect of working in this industry and supporting young children learn and grow.
Outside of her work though, Lizz enjoys camping, motorbike riding, watching Essendon play footy and spending time with her friends and family. Enjoying the outdoors and spending time with her loved ones is important to maintain balance in her life.
Lizz’s favourite part of working with children is being part of their growth and development and facilitating their learning and seeing that growth over time. That’s why her learning philosophies are centred around the children and their environment. Lizz says “I believe that children have the right to feel safe and supported in their environment. That all children have the right to learn and develop at their own pace, and we are responsible for providing them with uninterrupted environment for play.”
She understands that as Educators, we play an important role in providing a nurturing environment and being that role model for children. “I believe that Educators are the 3rd teacher, after the children family and the environment.”
As a new Centre Manager, Lizz is excited to be part of the leadership team at Aspire White Hills and is looking forward to getting to know the children and families more.
