Let’s A Go! All the Fun at Aspire Tarneit Square’s Open Day

Tarneit Square’s Open Day event happened over the weekend, and what a time it was! The community rallied around this upcoming centre, and had fun exploring the rooms, sampling our centre’s menu, and overall having a great time. Read all about it below.
Families, community members and passersby alike were invited in to visit Aspire Tarneit Square. Although there were some families that had taken an Early Bird Tour earlier in the week, they were so impressed that they had to bring along the rest of their family! The centre team took guests around the incredible centre, as well as answered any questions that were shot their way. To showcase the incredible meals the children eat whilst in our care, food cooked by our Aspire chefs got handed out.
Aspire Tarneit Square had so many fun vendors and activities at their open day!
We had a selection of scaly, feathery and fluffy animals visit the centre thanks to Aussie Wildlife Displays. The team brought out a rare black-tailed cockatoo, had a frilled-necked lizard and boasted a variety of snakes on display for guests to touch and hold. Most excitedly was the appearance of Ellie the wombat! Ellie, or smelly Ellie as the keepers affectionately call her, is a 6-year-old wombat. This wombat loves two things more than anything in the world, carrots and pats. Luckily, she gets to enjoy both of these when she came out at the open day event.
The team at Little Sports Heroes also came along. A mainstay at many of our centres and open day events, Little Sports Heroes organised sports activities for the event. There was an exciting obstacle course, as well as a target board, to see who could throw the ball most accurately.
We also introduced a partnership with the neighbouring BP/Jasbe petrol station at the Open Day. BP supplied a number of green balloons for the kids, as well as lucky dip prizes, spin the wheel prizes, and free coffee and babycinos for Open Day attendees.
Brightly-coloured faces were shining all throughout the centre thanks to the wonderful team at Splash of Colour! You’re never too young, or too old, to have your face or hand painted. There were even a few mini Marios and Princess Peaches running around.
Towards the end of the event, the sounds of Super Mario’s original arcade game music started blaring down the street. Mario and Princess Peach were the special guests to the Tarneit Square Open Day event! The fun pair played some games with the delighted children, then they had a dance party. Parents and children then had the opportunity to take some memorable family pictures. It was such a fun time with this iconic duo playing with everyone at the event.
