Fun at Aspire Cranbourne West's Kindergarten Program

At Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Cranbourne West's Kindergarten, we offer an exciting and unique three and four-year-old Kinder program. With a focus on building strong relationships with both children and their families, our term one Kindergarten program is designed to lay a solid foundation for lifelong learning and success. Our mission isn't just to educate, but to nurture and support the development of every child who enters our doors.
In term one, we prioritise the development of emotional intelligence among our young learners. Engaging activities such as storytelling sessions featuring the Colour Monster storybooks, songs, and group discussions, encourage children to explore and identify their emotions and feelings. Studies have found a strong link between emotional regulation skills and academic success. By delving into the world of emotions, we aim to equip our students with essential self-regulation and self-help skills while building confidence in both verbal and nonverbal communication.

One exciting aspect of our program is the introduction of the ELLA (Early Learning Languages Australia) program, focusing on Mandarin. Our dedicated educator, Willa, immerses children in the language and culture through interactive technology-based activities. Using specially designed apps, our young learners embark on an exciting journey to acquire new language skills. This allows them to broaden their cultural horizons and learn a new language.
At Aspire, we believe in the power of hands-on learning experiences. From sensory play to imaginative play in our themed play spaces, children are provided with ample opportunities to explore, experiment, and learn. The kindergarten room has an animal area play space, where they can learn about empathy, feelings and emotions. Through these activities, they not only develop empathy, understanding, and emotional awareness but also hone essential motor skills and cognitive abilities.

Our Kindergarten program places a strong emphasis on promoting independence and responsibility among our students. From signing in at the sign-in desk using their names to taking care of their belongings stored in lockers, children are encouraged to take ownership of their actions and develop essential self-help skills. We offer a self-help skills station, equipped with sunscreen and cleaning resources. This provides a supportive environment for children to learn to care for themselves with guidance from our caring educators.

Aspire Cranbourne West's Kindergarten program is more than just preparation for school; it's preparation for life.
Through a range of activities, including group time and excursions, children have the necessary skills and experiences to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Additionally, incursions with community partners such as Aunty Karen, Little Sports Heroes, and Sketchroo further enrich their learning journey.
