Footy Colours Week at Aspire White Hills
This week at Aspire Early Education White Hills they had Footy Colours Week! To celebrate the AFL Grand Final on Saturday, the children at White Hills got dressed up in their favourite footy team’s colours. Many of our children and families watch and enjoy the footy, so it was great to see everyone all kitted out in their footy gear.
We were also very fortunate to have a couple of our Aspire parents from our local Bendigo women's football teams volunteer their time to teach our children football skills. The children got to kick the footy to each other, learn how to effectively handball and even how to master the footy bounce!

Activities like this are a great way for children to enjoy physical movement, improve their hand-eye coordination and also learn new skills. Group activities like this also helps improve their social skills, teamwork and cooperating with others.
As well as practising their footy skills, the White Hills children and staff also enjoyed a footy inspired afternoon tea. There were some delicious red football cookies and more yummy treats!
