Festive Cheer at Aspire Donnybrook’s Christmas in July Event!
On Saturday 27th of July, Aspire Early Education Donnybrook held a Christmas in July Event, spreading the Christmas cheer early! Despite the frosty Melbourne weather, the community had a morning full of fun Christmas themed activities as well as delicious food. Discover more about how the event went below.
There were plenty of family fun activities at our Donnybrook event, for children (and adults) of all ages.
We had three talented face painting artists that brought each child’s face painting ideas to life. They did some beautiful Christmas themed painting including a snowman, Christmas trees, reindeers, snowflakes and more. It was so lovely to see the smiling faces of the children as they had their faces painted. Even a few parents had their faces painted!
In the outdoor yard we also hard some cute farm animals from Parklands animal farm. There were goats, guinea pigs, ducks, chickens and so many other feathered and fluffy friends delighted young and old alike. The children loved patting and feeding some of the animals and was definitely a highlight.
Throughout each of the rooms, there were also Christmas themed activities set up for the children to enjoy, such as arts and crafts, playdough fun, puzzles and more!
A special thanks to our Donnybrook chef for also cooking up some delicious food for everyone to enjoy. Sandwiches, muffins, cakes and a fruit platter were on display and a massive hit with families.

And of course, it wouldn’t be a Christmas event without a special appearance from Santa himself, and his amazing helper Elf. We were very lucky that they made an early visit for our Donnybrook community and families, and the children couldn’t have been happier!
Santa and Elf spread joy, sang to music and blew some crazy bubbles, as the children lapped up in the Christmas joy.
Families also had the opportunity to grab a photo with the pair, with many of the children beyond excited to meet Santa and elf, especially as early as July! Thank you to Santa and Elf for their special appearance from the North pole and joining us for our event.
It was an amazing day at our Aspire Donnybrook centre, and we are so thankful to everyone who came along.
