Recently opened Aspire Tarneit Square’s learning spaces are an absolute highlight of the service. Aspire prides itself on its world-class facilities and play-based learning areas. Because of this, we strive to create places of learning that inspire children throughout their early education journey. Read on to discover some of the learning areas at Aspire Tarneit Square.
Aspire Tarneit Square has an amazing community garden area. Everyone is so excited to have this space where the children can grow and feed the plants and grow vegetables and herbs. The most exciting this is using these home-grown veggies and herbs in our cooking experiences and in our learning environments.
The centre has just set up a worm farm too! This area is a great place for children to learn about sustainability, as well as how compost helps plants grow. Did you know that watering your plants with diluted compost juice assists to keep them healthy? Compost juice contains soluble plant nutrients and a multitude of helpful microbes. Aspire Tarneit Square can’t wait to see how our plants grow and thrive!
The four-year-old kindergarten room at Aspire Tarneit Square is full of fun and engaging learning and play areas. Aspire’s four-year-old kinder program has a strong focus on early STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education. Our room is set up to educate children about these concepts through engaging and hands-on activities. Through exploration and play, children develop critical thinking skills and a strong foundation in STEM concepts. They have opportunities to experiment, build, and solve problems, fostering their curiosity and creativity. These experiences prepare children to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.

Aspire Tarneit Square love decorating their learning areas for specific weeks and days of importance, as you can see above with our science week display! The centre also set up an engaging dentist-themed activity area in Room 5 for Dental Health Week. The children had a fun time sorting out which foods are healthy and unhealthy for dental health. This hands-on display helped the children identify what foods cause tooth decay, as well as the different parts of teeth.
