The rain could not stop the Aspire Ramlegh community from getting together! Despite a few raindrops and cloudy skies, nothing could dampen the spirits of Aspire Ramlegh families and the Clyde North community. Families came out in full force for a heartwarming Family Fun Day that proved sunshine isn’t the only thing that brings warmth – community does too. Families embraced the day with enthusiasm, turning a grey forecast into a celebration filled with laughter, joy and connection. Our staff made sure we had a variety of family-friendly activities spread out inside the centre for families to enjoy. There was no shortage of interactive vendors to explore - everything from mini golf and pony rides to live animals and face painting was available for families to enjoy all morning long!
We transformed one of our larger kindergarten rooms into a mini golf course where children and parents alike were invited to test out their putting skills. Children squealed with laughter as they navigated around playful obstacles and tried their hand at swing golf clubs. While some children were busy with the golf, others opted to hop on some playful pony toys and ride their way around one of our kindergarten rooms. Though the ponies were not real, the smiles and joy that filled the room certainly was!
As always, the face painter had their work cut out for them as children lined up with fantastic creatures in mind. Each child had a gleeful smile on their face when they saw that they had been transformed into the creature of their dreams.
One of the most magical parts of the day was the live butterfly enclosure. Stepping inside the gently netted haven, guests were transported into a peaceful, enchanting world where butterflies floated through the air like petals on the wind. Children and parents alike, were wide eyed in wonder as they were presented with a sunflower with a delicate monarch perched on top. It is truly amazing that such stunning creatures exist!
Just beside the enclosure, the friendly farm animal area brought even more delight. Children had the chance to meet and gently interact with a range of adorable animals - from fluffy bunnies and curious goats to chickens and ducks. The petting area was a constant hub of excitement and awe, as little hands reached out to stroke soft fur and feathers. The combination of butterflies and barnyard friends created a magical, nature-filled experience that certainly had children talking long after they left.
It was a pleasure to be joined by three amazing local businesses, each one offering something unique.
Boxes of delicious, expertly frosted cupcakes in sensational flavours were on display for families to purchase. Whether you prefer classic vanilla or you're in search of something more unique like Nutella or Peanut butter - Frosted Delights had a cupcake for you!
We were joined by two local community members who displayed their shining jewellery. With everything from handmade one-of-a-kind pieces or authentic Swarovski crystals, there was no shortage of stunning jewellery. Perfect for a belated Mother's Day gift or an upcoming birthday, families got to pick out their favourite pieces and enjoy some new bling!
What truly made this event special wasn't just the activities or attractions - it was the people. Our Family Fun Day was a celebration of our community. Parents got to watch as their children got to know the other kids in their neighbourhood and got the chance to spend time in the environment where their children spend most days. Our educators and staff from the centre had the opportunity to chat with parents and continue building strong community bonds.

Your presence helped create a warm, joyful atmosphere filled with laughter, love and lasting memories. We are so grateful to be a part of such a brilliant community and for your participation in making the day so meaningful. It was a pleasure celebrating with you, and we look forward to many more wonderful community days together!
