Easter Egg-citement at Aspire Wollert
This week Aspire centres across Victoria have been celebrating Easter. Whether it be an Easter egg hunt, Easter bonnet parade or a visit from the Easter Bunny themselves, there is lots of fun to be had to celebrate the occasion. Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Wollert had a few celebrations through the week with their children. Read on to find out more!
Aspire Wollert had some very special guests visit them on Monday the 25th of March. The Easter Bunny and Alice from Alice in Wonderland visited the centre to spread some festive vibes. The bunny was cheekily hopping around the centre, visiting all the children. There was dancing, bubble blowing, and plenty of cuddles. Everyone was so excited to meet the pair, making the day one to remember.
In the week leading up to Easter, the foyer had decorations to fit the holiday, including a little bunny decoration. Many of the children even came up to the bunny and said hello as they came into the centre. It was a wonderful way to bring in the festive spirit to Aspire Wollert’s entrance.
Aspire Wollet’s little learners also took part in many creative, Easter-themed projects. The kids had the opportunity to decorate eggs, both on paper and real eggshells! They also made bunny ear masks, so they could pretend to be the Easter bunny themselves. The children enjoyed letting out their creative side, as well as improving their fine motor skills, as they did their crafts.
There is always something exciting going on at Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Wollert! By celebrating occasions like Easter, as well as other cultural festivals such as Holi and Ramadan, the children are able to learn about different festivities. Learning about different cultures is important for young children so they broaden their worldview and nurture empathy.
