Diwali at Aspire: Celebrating Community & Culture

Diwali, also known as Deepavali, is one of the most significant and widely celebrated festivals in India and among Indian communities around the world. This vibrant Hindu festival spans five days, with the main celebrations taking place on the third day. This year, Diwali fell on October 20th, but the excitement tends to start earlier!
At Aspire, Diwali holds a special place in our calendar. This year, four of our Aspire centres hosted Diwali community events throughout October, which brought together our families and the wider community to celebrate this wonderful Festival of Lights. Our Aspire centres also had internal Diwali celebrations at their centres for their staff, children and families. From colourful decorations and cultural performances to fun activities and delicious food, these celebrations really captured the true spirit of Diwali - joy, connection, and togetherness.
