Deanside’s Learning Spaces - Sparking Imagination

Aspire Early Education Deanside has recently revamped their learning spaces in their rooms. Play-based learning creates the backbone of our curriculum, with educational spaces that unlock children's curiosity. Check out some of the exciting new ways children can learn and play in Deanside’s learning spaces!

In the Kinder room, an engaging dental clinic setup was implemented after a visit from the dentist! The children showed interest in being dentists during playtime. Children can dress up as dentists and practice cleaning teeth in this engaging play area.

This imaginative role-play environment makes learning about dental hygiene fun and engaging, helping children develop essential health skills while fostering creativity and confidence!

A new and engaging room setup is up and running in the centre's nursery hub. One area in particular has grabbed the children’s interest. This care area designed to boost motor skills, has sparked the imagination of the room’s children. They have a blast driving the cars about, and find it hilarious when they bump into each other!

With our recent topic on the ocean, our kinder hub room created an immersive ocean play area. With little ocean animals swimming amongst paper waves, the children have enjoyed playing with the little fishes. The area is also decorated with artwork the children made of their own unique fish and sparking blue streamers.

Deanside's Learning Spaces During Reconciliation Week

Room 5 thrived during Reconciliation Week, immersing themselves in diverse learning environments that fostered hands-on experiences. The children delved into understanding the significance of the week, learning about the Aboriginal symbols, and even crafting their own boomerangs and didgeridoos.

These inviting spaces ignited their curiosity and deepened their understanding of reconciliation.

Aspire Deanside’s learning spaces invite children in to learn, play and cooperate with their peers. By changing up the play areas of the centre every so often, it gives the children more opportunities to learn. It also allows teachers to see what is currently of interest to the children, and tailor their rooms to suit their interests.
