Creating Little Artists in Aspire Bella Estate’s Toddler Program

Children in Toddler 1 room have been exploring different shapes recently, so the educators extended this into a painting experience for them. They dipped the shape on a preferred paint colour and stamped it on their paper.
This activity encourages the children to expand their knowledge about shapes, colours and develop their communication, sensory skills and more.
Even when the skies are grey, the Toddler 3 children are finding pure joy indoors! They recently transformed their learning space into a vibrant art studio, celebrating the beauty of different weather conditions. With a splash of creativity, they dived into painting, using safe food colours and droppers to craft their masterpieces. But that’s not all! They took their colourful creations outside, letting the rain sprinkle its magic on their artwork. The excitement in their eyes was contagious as they watched their paintings blend with the raindrops in a breathtaking dance of colour. This hands-on experience not only boosts their fine motor skills and sparks their imaginations, but it also deepens their connection with nature and enhances their cognitive memory.
During Recycling Week this month, the children gathered to explore their curiosity and learn about recycling by doing a painting activity using some cardboard, paper towel rolls and some bubble wrap. Children were encouraged to do stamp painting using different coloured paint.
Through this activity, they will also enhance their colour recognition and at the same time learning about recycling.
Our Toddler 3 children have begun to explore their interest in aeroplanes, sparked by their experiences playing outside and hearing planes pass overhead. To nurture this curiosity, the educators provided opportunities for them to create aeroplanes using popsicle sticks and selecting various colours. Additionally, we introduced pegs, pompoms, and paint, allowing them to envision their creations soaring through the sky.
For Remembrance Day, the Toddler children were encouraged to make a wreath using cutouts, poppy flowers, and paper. The children used glue and pasted the cutouts and poppy flowers around the cardboard. These made beautiful wreaths which were displayed throughout the rooms.
These hands-on learning experiences are instrumental in supporting their development. They foster creativity, enhance their fine motor skills, develop spatial awareness, and build self-esteem.
