Creating a Safer Environment at Aspire White Hills

At Aspire White Hills, we’re committed to providing a safe, supportive space for everyone who walks through our doors and that starts with our own team.
Last month, our educators took part in an Active Supervision Training, a key part of our ongoing professional development program. This training focused on keeping our environment safe, positive and productive by helping staff stay alert, responsive and connected to what's happening around them. Implementing active supervision ensures that every individual is supported and safe, while also creating a space for learning and growth.
Active supervision goes far beyond simply watching. It means being present, anticipating needs, and stepping in early to guide behaviour and prevent problems before they start. Active supervision is often a team effort, and this training encourages staff to collaborate. By working together, staff can ensure consistent supervision across different areas of the centre. It’s about creating a culture where safety, learning and wellbeing go hand in hand.
