Celebration and Fun at Aspire Ashbury’s Open Day!

Aspire Ashbury’s Open Day brought together the Armstrong Creek community over the weekend. The day of fun, warm welcomes and yummy food left a lasting impression on all who came through the door. Check out the fun we had in today’s blog.
The event had a lot of fun activities for young and old. One of these was the fantastic Aussie Wildlife Displays. A menagerie of Australian animals graced the centre, with guests getting the opportunity to pat, hold and look at them. Popular animals included the shingleback lizard, fluffy sugar glider, wombat and native snakes. Some people were even brave enough to hold them!
A team of talented face painters used their creative skills to decorate children and adults. People were transformed into animals and characters of all kinds. Tigers, dogs, flower designs and the characters from Paw Patrol were all seen on people’s faces throughout the centre.
Adults were kept caffeinated by the team at Coffee With Amore, it was the perfect weather for an iced drink. Families also took cute group photos together at the photobooth, as did the Aspire team members who were there on the day. The photobooth is a fantastic way to commemorate the fun event.
During the Open Day event, guests could take a guided tour of the centre or have a look around at their own pace. The rooms were set up beautifully, with examples of activities and experiences that the children will participate in once opened. The bright and spacious rooms impressed the families as they toured the centre.
Another favourite part of the day is the opportunity to get a taste of the delicious food on the Aspire menu. During Ashbury’s Open Day, attendees were treated to some delicious fresh fruit at the beginning of the day. Then at lunch, bowls of delicious veggie-packed Singapore noodles were dished out. They were so delicious! Some amazing chef-made orange cake and additional fruit came out after this.
The most highly-anticipated part of the day was when Marshall and Chase from the PAW Patrol stopped by for a visit! The exciting duo danced along to some of the children's favourite songs. It was especially entertaining during "The Floor Is Lava" song when the pair ran around the playground, looking for places to escape the lava! Families then had the opportunity to take photos with the pair, and hear about their exciting adventures. Look at the fun photos in the gallery below!
