Bendigo Walk for Prems, A Walk for A Great Cause
On Sunday the 6th of October the Bendigo Aspire teams got together for the Bendigo Walk For Prems event.
In its second year of operation in the city, Life’s Little Treasure Foundation, Aspire’s charity partner, hosted the event. The Aspire team felt thrilled to be part of the big day.
Life’s Little Treasures Foundation (LLTF) is Australia’s foremost charity dedicated to providing support, friendship and information specifically tailored for families of premature or sick babies.
Walk for Prems is LLTF’s largest fundraising event for the year, with more than 50% of its donations coming from this event alone. The Walk for Prems is a leisurely 5km stroll to raise funds and awareness for LLTF, with events happening all over Australia. Since its inception, the Walk for Prems has raised over $4.6 million, with the aim to raise $650,000 this year! If you would like to donate to Life’s Little Treasures Foundation, click the link here.
The sun shone brightly at Lake Weeroona for the Bendigo Walk for Prems event. Some team members from Aspire White Hills and Aspire Kennington came along to support the event. Aspire's presence was felt throughout the day, with people both walking in the event and running activities in our marquee.
The team set up a quiet reading area for children to relax and read some of Aspire’s favourite children’s books. They also had heaps of bubbles, and even a fun dance competition!
Everyone had a great time walking around Lake Weeroona for Life’s Little Treasures Foundation. We can’t wait to celebrate Walk for Prems with the team again next year.
