Aspire Donnybrook Open Day Celebrations
On Saturday 16th March, Aspire Donnybrook welcomed the community to the centre to celebrate their Open Day! The sun was shining as families, friends, and neighbours visited the brand-new centre which is set to open in the coming month.
Families were able to explore our Donnybrook centre, discover some of the learning experiences the children will engage in, and explore the outdoor yard and playground. They were also able to meet our Donnybrook team and ask any questions about our Aspire curriculum or the enrolment process.
As well as the chance to learn more about Aspire, families and children were able to enjoy some fun activities such as face painting, photobooth fun, wildlife animals and sports activities. Watch the video below of our event and read on to see the fun everyone had!
A Day of Fun Filled Activities!
Throughout the centre, were some fun activities for children and families to enjoy, including a visit from a few scaly creatures! The team from Aussie Wildlife Displays came along to educate families about some Australian animals. Exciting animals such as lizards, snakes, parrots and a tiny sugar glided possum were there!
Fun photo opportunities were also abundant at the fantastic photobooth. Families were able to take fun photobooth pictures, using silly costumes and props! They were able to take home their own little photo strip to keep the memories forever.
Our friends at Little Sports Heroes ran some sports activities for the children to enjoy including a fun throwing board. Many of our Aspire centres run weekly incursions with the Little Sports Heroes team, so it is great that they can showcase what they offer.
Parents were also energised with a coffee hit from Xpresso Mobile Cafe, who were serving out delicious coffee and drinks throughout the open day. Centre chefs from Aspire Clyde North also put on an incredible spread. A veggie-packed mac and cheese and chicken curry and rice were a popular hit with families. Fresh fruit and veggie platters were also on offer, which provided a yummy healthy snack!
Special Guests Visit!
To top off the day we had a special visit from Elsa and Peppa Pig! Children were so happy to see their favourite characters arrive and join in on fun musical games and dances with Elsa and Peppa Pig. And who could forget the classic song “Let it Go”, which even had some of the parents singing along!
After some fun performances, the children had an opportunity to take some photos with Elsa and Peppa Pig, where many hugs and hi-5’s were also had!
