Aspire Clyde North's Mini MasterChefs

The three-year-old Kindergarten children at Aspire Clyde North celebrated Early Learning Matters Week with a fun cooking activity. Early Learning Matters Week is a time to celebrate, build awareness, and understand the importance of early learning and the difference it makes in children’s learning, development, and well-being. The centre celebrated with a variety of fun learning experiences for children throughout the centre.
The Kindergarten children in the Waratah room, transformed into mini MasterChefs for a cooking challenge to create healthy sandwiches for their afternoon tea. Cooking and food experiences in early childhood promote healthy eating habits, teach children about where food comes from, and help develop numeracy and literacy skills.
Within Aspire's three-year-old Kindergarten, Kickstart to Kinder program, children are encouraged to learn about the world through play. Children are provided with a range of interactive, fun, and educational learning experiences to encourage children to become curious, creative, and confident learners.
