Berwick Waters’s 3- and 4-year-old kinder children had an exciting and memorable time recently with the Little Fox Drummers incursion. They explored a wonderful variety of drums, delighting in the unique sounds, rhythms, and vibrations each one produced. It was a joy to watch their curiosity and creativity flourish as they experimented with different beats and sounds. Experiences like these not only enhance their sensory and musical development but also inspire self-expression and foster teamwork.
The 3- and 4-year-old kindergarten children embarked on an incredible adventure, traveling back to prehistoric times and deep into the jungle with the Drama Toolbox Incursion Program. Through imaginative play and movement, they explored the fascinating worlds of dinosaurs and jungle animals. Dressed as mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Pterodactyls, and Brachiosaurus, the children mimicked the unique movements of dinosaurs and discovered their life cycles, from nest building to egg hatching and seeking new habitats.
The jungle adventure was equally thrilling! Our little explorers transformed into Tarantulas, Scarlet Macaws, Iguanas, Howler Monkeys, and Jaguars, using music and movement to immerse themselves in the sights and sounds of the jungle while learning about the importance of sharing and the basic needs of all living things. What an amazing and joyful way to learn about the animal kingdom through creativity and play.

The Berwick Water’s Toddlers had an unforgettable time during a Didgeridoo musical session, run by Digeridoo Australia. The children were enchanted by the unique sounds of the instrument and eagerly immersed themselves in the rhythm of traditional songs. It was truly heartwarming to watch them clap, move, and joyfully engage with the music.
This interactive experience not only introduced the children to the rich sounds of Indigenous culture but also sparked a sense of wonder and connection through the power of music.
The Kinder children also engaged in the Didgeridoo Incursion, where Barama Blow introduced us to the Boonwurrung language and explained the significance of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags. This incursion enriched our understanding of Indigenous culture through storytelling, music, and hands-on experiences.

During Nutrition Week and Children’s Week, Berwick Waters hosted an exciting incursion and continued the fun with our "Super Humans in Training" event.
In this interactive session, the children discovered how healthy food fuels their bodies, explored the importance of hygiene through simple routines, and built confidence by practicing small habits that make a big difference.
They also developed essential life skills, taking important steps toward greater responsibility for their personal care and well-being. It was truly wonderful to see them engaged, learning, and having fun!
Berwick Waters also had an incredible centre-wide Butterfly Incursion this Term, and the children were absolutely amazed! They enjoyed this hands-on experience, where they were able to hold and feed the butterflies while learning fascinating facts about them. Manuka's presentation was both engaging and educational, covering the life cycle and body parts of these beautiful creatures. Children were thrilled to learn more about butterflies and their life cycle and enjoyed this incursion full of wonder and discovery.
