A Fresh Face at Aspire Deanside | Meet Centre Manager Rena!
Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten Deanside has had an exciting new person join the team. New Centre Manager Rena Rani begun her Aspire journey a few weeks ago and has settled in seamlessly. Find out more about Rena in the blog below!
Centre Manager Rena’s early education journey started back in 2013 as an Educator. She was drawn to the industry because she admires the way young children look at the world. Watching them grow, seeing the things they learn and their wonder and amazement at seemingly little things are reasons why Rena is passionate about early education. “It is that innocence that makes them so unique,” explains Rena. “I like to see how genuine they are and at the same time, I love to learn from them.”
Rena’s early education career has been quite enriching! Beginning as an educator, she honed her leadership skills, gradually taking on more responsibilities. As a Centre Manager, Rena oversees operations, supports staff and their development, and ensures the highest quality of care for all children.
As Deanside’s new centre manager, Rena’s hopes revolve around creating a supportive and inspiring environment for both children and staff. She aims to foster a culture of continuous learning and growth, where everyone feels valued and empowered. Rena aspires to build strong relationship with families, ensuring open communication and collaboration. Ultimately, her hope is to lead a centre that thrive on innovation, excellence, and above all, the well-being and development of every child in our care.

As an Educator, Rena is guided by a blend of progressive and holistic learning philosophies. “I believe in the importance of child-centred approaches, where learning emerges from child interests, experiences, and interactions with environment,” says Rena. “I value the Reggio Emilia approach, which emphasises the child as a competent and capable learner. As well as that, I utilise the Montessori method, which promotes independence and hands on learning.”
Overall, Rena’s philosophy is centred on nurturing a love for learning, promoting critical thinking, and fostering holistic development in each child.
In her spare time, Rena enjoys singing, exploring nature and spending time with her family. “I find relaxation in activities like meditation which help me recharge and maintain balance in my life.”
“The best part about being a centre director is the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives on children, families and staff every day,” Rena reveals. “I love being able to create a supportive and enriching environment where children can learn, grow and thrive.”
Building strong relationships with families and seeing joy on children’s faces as they explore and discover new things brings Rena immense fulfilment. Additionally, she enjoys the leadership aspect of the role. "Empowering and supporting my team to be their best and to contribute to the success of our centre is very rewarding."
