A Farm-tastic Morning at Aspire Bendigo-Kennington's Farmyard Fun Day!
Aspire Bendigo - Kennington's annual community event was udderly amazing! This past Sunday, families joined us from near and far for a morning filled with cute animals, farm-themed activities and an unforgettable time with the community. From cheerleading lessons and facepainting to hanging out with furry farmyard friends and enjoying the sausage sizzle, we had something special for the whole family. Here’s a look back at the highlights:
The amazing Farmer Daryl and his crew of farmyard animals set up a temporary farm in our car park! Families had the chance to feed, pat and cuddle the goats, bunnies and even a 2-month-old calf. Younger children learned the importance of using "gentle hands" when interacting with animals while the older kids got the chance to learn more about their favourite farmyard animals. Farmer Daryl spoke all about what it takes to care for these wonderful animals and how much work it takes to be a farmer!
Our fellow Bendigo community member, Dynamic Cheer Co., joined us and got the kids moving! The children jumped right in - literally - learning new moves, building confidence and having a blast with every flip and cheer. Their energy was contagious, and their enthusiasm lit up the whole event!
Our friend, Angie, from Scribbles Face Painting, transformed the children into dragons, dinosaurs, princesses and more through her wonderful face paint! Kids lit up with excitement when they saw their faces decorated with their favourite animals and characters. It was a fun and colorful way to let their personalities shine!
The team at Aspire Kennington did a fantastic job curating a number of indoor games and activities that perfectly fit the farmyard theme. From animal colouring pages and figurines to interactive crafts, each activity highlights the talent and care our team have for creating engaging spaces for children of all ages.
Thank you to everyone that came out to enjoy the beautiful weather and fun times with us! It is always amazing to watch the community come together and we are very grateful we can provide a space for this to happen!
