A day of fun at the Manor Lakes Open Day Event

The Aspire Manor Lakes Open Day event was a resounding success! It was a wonderful opportunity to open up the doors of this newly-constructed centre to the public for the first time. This new Aspire expansion to the western suburbs will service the ever-growing Manor Lakes area, supporting local families. Read on to learn more about the fun at this weekend’s event!

Awesome Activities at Manor Lakes Open Day

There was so much for the kids to do at Aspire Manor Lakes, it was hard to know where to start. Amazing face painters were scattered around the centre, who created some incredible designs on some of our guests. There were lots of unicorns, superheroes, animals, and a bunch of Bluey-themed face paintings.

Aussie Wildlife Displays set up an incredible learning area, with a variety of Australian animals on display. Snakes, a sugar glider, a blue-tongued lizard and a pink cockatoo all made appearances throughout the event. The most popular friend was Boo the wombat! Guests had the opportunity to gently pat the wombat and get a few pictures, as well as learn about these gentle creatures.

For those more actively inclined, Little Sports Heroes had a range of sporty games to play. The target throw was a stand-out, and those with an accurate arm won prizes for hitting the target.

Hot drinks and snacks were also on offer during the event. The coffee was a necessary pick-me-up during the chilly morning! The muffins were also delicious and absolutely hit the spot. Families also were able to be a bit silly and take photobooth photos to remember the occasion. There were many fun props and dress ups to use, the kids and parents alike had a great time taking pictures.

 Experiencing the Centre

Aspire chefs prepared a delicious feast for the day, as a sample of the yummy food the children eat at the centres The team made an incredible chicken curry with fluffy rice, Singapore noodles and creamy mac and cheese. There was also a colourful fruit platter and veggies and hummus for everyone to snack to throughout the day.

Families and visitors had the chance to have a guided tour around Aspire Manor Lakes during the event. For many, this was the first time they had seen the incredible centre. The experienced and friendly staff showed people around, moved through the rooms and pointed out what it is that makes Aspire Manor Lakes special.

Bluey!

Easily the most anticipated part of the day was a visit from the world’s favourite blue heeler sisters. Bingo and Bluey burst into the Manor Lakes carpark to the sounds of their catchy theme song. Everyone streamed out of the centre to see what the fuss was about, and were delighted to see who it was. Everyone had fun dancing with the pair, and then were able to take some happy snaps. The children, and also the parents, were ecstatic to meet Bluey and Bingo for real life!

All in all, the Manor Lakes Open Day was a truly memorable event, and a great start to what is sure to be the heart of the Manor Lakes community.
