Thornhill Park Christmas Market – An Evening of Cheer!

The Aspire Thornhill Park Christmas Market was a fantastic and festive time last weekend for the Thornhill Park community. The neighbourhood gathered for sweet treats, delicious food trucks and a visit from Santa himself!
Despite the hot weather, the centre had a great turnout of guests to the centre at the market. One of the big reasons people gathered was the chance to get some Christmas shopping done early. With the range of stalls at the market, it was particularly easy to find something for the whole family!
There was a stall selling gorgeous velvet scarves and wraps and chocolate goodies. Another stall sold delicious-smelling candles and other beautiful homewares. The team from the local IGA also had a stall selling toys and snacks, as well as some much-needed icy poles.
For dinner, local food truck Namasthe Melton served up some of the best Indian cuisine in the area! With a wide range of street food, curries, rice and snacks, there truly was something for everyone.
A fantastic face painter and hair braider were some of the most popular stalls. Kids were transformed into Hello Kitty, a unicorn and other fun designs. The hair braiding looked great but also was a great way to get hair pulled up in the hot weather!
Easily the biggest highlight of the event was Santa himself taking time out of his busy schedule to visit! He truly enjoyed meeting all the families and children, and took many photos with them. As well as posing for some festive photos, Santa gave out little gifts for all the children.
The centre is so appreciative of Santa coming down to Thornhill Park all the way from the North Pole! We hope to see you again next year.
