Aspire Thornhill Village has recently opened in the Thornhill Park community. Danielle Shaw is the centre manager and has had a wonderful few weeks getting to know the centre’s children and families. Get to know Dani in her words below!
Hello! I’m Dani, the Centre Manager for Thornhill Village, and I’m excited to share a little bit about myself with you. With over 10 years of experience in the early education sector, including the past two years as an Area Manager, I’ve had the privilege of seeing firsthand how essential strong relationships are in fostering the development of children.
My journey in this field started when I was a teenager, babysitting for local families, which ignited my passion for working with children. Since then, my love for early education has only grown. Now, as a mother to a 2-year-old daughter, I gain a deeper understanding of child development from a parent's perspective. She inspires me every day and reinforces how critical it is to provide children with the right environment to thrive.
As Centre Manager, one of the most rewarding parts of my role is creating a nurturing space where children discover the joy of learning. Watching their faces light up during enriching learning experiences is truly special. I’m committed to building meaningful, trusting relationships with both the children and families at Thornhill Village. This is because I believe this is key to achieving the best outcomes for every child.
I’m looking forward to becoming an integral part of the Thornhill Village community and creating a warm, welcoming environment where everyone feels valued. I am excited to work alongside you all in fostering a positive, thriving space for our children to learn, grow, and explore.
