Aspire Berwick Waters is proudly Exceeding NQS

Congratulations to Aspire Berwick Waters!

Aspire Early Education is extremely proud to announce that our Aspire Berwick Waters centre has achieved an Exceeding Childcare Rating under the National Quality Standards (NQS)!!

Under the National Quality Framework, the NQS measures the quality of early childhood education and care in Australia under seven key quality areas. Thes areas cover the curriculum and educational programs, health and safety, physical environment, staffing arrangements, relationships with children, families and communities, and the leadership management of the service. For families, this means greater individual care for children, and better support for children’s learning and development.  

Since opening in 2019, Aspire Berwick Waters is our first Aspire centre to have achieved this Exceeding rating and we couldn’t be prouder of the team and the high-quality standards they’ve set at the centre.

Berwick's Waters Curriculum

Aspire Berwick Waters features eight spacious rooms and expansive outdoor areas for children to learn and thrive in. Berwick Water’s curriculum incorporates a variety of different incursions that engage the children in different learning experiences. These incursions include Little Sports Hereos, Sketch Roo, ELLA Mandarin program, and Digeridoo experiences. Covering sport, music, art and language, the children benefit from the unique offerings at our Berwick Waters centre. They also offer exciting excursions to the local wetlands, playgrounds, libraries and more, which give the children the opportunity to explore their local community.

Berwick Waters is extremely proud of their comprehensive 3- and 4-year-old kindergarten program that provides children with two years of funded kindergarten in the lead up to primary school. Their kinder program priorities STEM Education, language and literacy, physical development, sustainability and more, and focuses on preparing your child for their next educational journey.  

Aspire Director, Sam Rutecki is “especially proud of their 3 and 4-year-old kinder programs, "Kick Start to kinder" and "Step into Prep," which have been developed in consultation with local schools. These programs emphasise school readiness and support children in their transition toward school.  We look forward to celebrating this amazing achievement with the Berwick Waters team.”

Their Commitment to Community

Berwick Waters' strong connection with the community and fostering a sense of diversity and inclusivity, is truly what makes the centre stand out. Through celebrating different cultural events such as Chinese New Year, Sinhalese New Year, Ramadan, Diwali and more, our team recognises the importance of creating that sense of belonging for families and the children. Berwick Waters’ aim is to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all families that attend care.
