Meet Amrita – The new Centre Manager at Aspire Craigieburn

We are thrilled to be opening a new Aspire early education centre soon in Craigieburn, in Melbourne's North. Joining the centre as the wonderful Centre Manager is Amrit Kaur. We are so excited to have her onboard with her wealth of knowledge and passion for the early education industry.

Get to know more about Amrita and her passion for working in early education.

Amrita's experience in Early Education

Amrita has been working in the Early Childhood Education sector for the past 15 years, during which she has held a variety of roles, including over five years in leadership and management positions. Throughout her career, she has developed a strong commitment to inclusive leadership, grounded in the belief that effective leaders grow alongside their teams and foster environments where everyone feels valued and empowered.

Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D., with research focusing on the experiences of Indian immigrant teachers in Early Childhood Education settings, a topic that reflects her interest in diversity, equity, and inclusion within the sector.

Her leadership approach

Her leadership approach is both holistic and democratic, principles that guide her daily practice and decision-making. She strongly values collaboration with families and communities, and her teaching philosophy emphasises building meaningful partnerships with parents and caregivers to support children’s learning and development. She has a strong interest in supporting educators with curriculum development and pedagogical planning and is passionate about creating opportunities for professional growth within teams.

Outside of work

In Amrita's leisure time, she enjoys spending time with her family- her husband and our two children, who have always been a constant source of motivation and inspiration in both her personal and professional life.

Amrita says, "together we can make this journey collaborative, meaningful, and rewarding for everyone."

She firmly believes that learning can occur anywhere and from anyone, and that continuous learning is key to sustaining motivation, innovation, and high-quality practice.
