Meet Debbie - Aspire Berwick Water's New Centre Manager

We are so excited to have Debbie join the Aspire Berwick Waters team as the new Centre Manager! With over 12 years of experience, Debbie is a confident and knowledgeable leader who is deeply committed to supporting her team, children, and families. Learn more about her career journey, her passion for the industry and why she's excited to be part of the Aspire team!

Debbie's career journey

Debbie has worked in the early childhood education industry since 2013 and has been in a leadership role for 5 of those years. She started off her journey as an Assistant Educator, before transitioning into a Room Leader, then ACM and now Centre Manager. Debbie holds a diploma in Children's services.

What she loves most about working at Aspire

Debbie loves the "supportive, warm and friendly environment and people at Aspire", and says she has already felt so welcomed from the team since joining. She resonates with Aspire and the value "Inspiring and Nurturing" as she strongly believes forming strong and lasting connections with families, children and educators is very important.

Debbie focuses on open communication, building trust, offering support, and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for both families and educators.

Her passion for the industry and as a leader

As a Centre Manager, Debbie's leadership style is kind, firm and fair. She strongly believes in teamwork, equality, kindness, and positive energy.

"To me, a happy team creates a happy centre, and I prioritise building an environment where everyone feels valued and supported."

Debbie loves working in this industry and is passionate about mentoring educators to help them be confident and achieve their goals. As well as watching children grow, learn and develop through their time with us.  

Outside of Work

Outside of work, Debbie is a proud mum to a beautiful 2.5-year-old boy who loves to keep her on her toes! Debbie comes from a Greek background and loves a good conversation with family, friends, neighbours and really anyone!
