Aspire Deanside Village’s Engaging Kindergarten Environments

In an early education setting, creating a variety of engaging and fun learning environments is crucial for children to learn. At Aspire Early Education and Kindergarten Deanside Village, the kindergarten rooms are designed to allow children to explore and learn at their own pace.
According to the ACECQA National Quality Standards, Quality Area 3, the environment is the “third teacher”. After caregivers and educators, physical spaces hold the potential to influence how and what children learn. The significance of creating inclusive and sustainable learning environments that enhance and support children's learning is highlighted in Quality Area 3 of the National Quality Standard.
Being intentional and purposeful about the environment helps to:
Aspire Deanside Village’s Room 7 and 8 kinder spaces allow for endless free play and exploration. As well as this, they are set up to maximise learning opportunities across a range of early learning topics. Engaging kindergarten environments empower children to discover their interests and develop necessary school-readiness skills.
Environments set up to expose young children to early spatial and mathematical concepts are especially beneficial for young children’s development. These hands-on experiences help children explore ideas like shape, size, patterns, measurement, and position in a fun and engaging way. Activities such as building with blocks, sorting objects, or creating pictures with different shapes encourage problem-solving, reasoning, and critical thinking.
Deanside Village’s kinder children dive into the world of numbers through hands-on activities that make math exciting and memorable.
Spaces set up with activities about understanding emotions help our little learners explore their feelings in a safe and supportive environment. Emotional development is a key aspect of school-readiness, and can equip young children to create friendships, understand their own emotions, and navigate emotional situations.
In the kinder rooms, an activity where children can create a face based on an emotion helps them identify what different emotions look like. Another area has a puzzle that allows the children to put the pieces together to form a face showing an emotion. A range of easy-to-read books about emotions is also found in these learning areas.
Aspire Deanside Village understands the impact of storytelling in nurturing imagination, empathy, and language development. To cultivate a passion for reading among young learners, they've dedicated a corner of the room to create a Book Reading Nook. This inviting space features cozy cushions, perfect for little ones to settle in with a captivating story. Books sit with their covers facing forward, making it easy for children to spot stories that spark their curiosity. Story-themed decorations, including puppets and props, fill the nook and enrich the experience, inviting children to dive into imaginative play.

Aspire Deanside Village is full of engaging kindergarten spaces for each of their little learners. From mathematical games to cozy reading nooks, there is an area for every child to thrive in.
