Thank you to all those who joined us for the Aspire Huntly Village Open day on Saturday, 14th June! Despite the chilly morning, the warmth and energy of the crowd made it a truly special occasion. Families came together to explore our beautiful new Aspire centre in Huntly enjoy a variety of fun-filled activities and connect with our wonderful Aspire team. It was a fantastic opportunity to build new friendships, strengthen community ties, and celebrate the beginning of an exciting journey in our new space.

Some amazing community organizations joined us, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Their presence highlighted the importance of creating spaces where families can come together, connect, and thrive.
In growing communities like Huntly, it's vital to have welcoming environments where new and existing families can meet their neighbours, share experiences, and build strong, lasting bonds. The Open Day was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to discover local groups and activities tailored for both parents and children.
Our fellow Bendigo neighbors, Dynamic Cheer Co., got the kids moving! Their team brought the energy - and the kids brought the enthusiasm. From flips to cheers, the children jumped right in (literally!) to learn new moves, build confidence, and have a blast. The atmosphere was electric, and their contagious energy lit up the entire event.

We were so excited to welcome Felicity from Playgroups Victoria - Bendigo Project to the Huntly Village Open Day! Felicity created a vibrant and interactive play space that had kids of all ages laughing, exploring, and having a blast. But the fun didn’t stop there - through her conversations with families on the day, Felicity has already helped form a brand-new playgroup in the Huntly area!

Our friends from the Huntly Men's Shed came out and brought the sizzle! Huntly's local Dads, Uncles and Grandpas served up some iconic Aussie snags for families to enjoy. But it wasn’t just about the barbecue. The Men’s Shed team also took the opportunity to connect with families and share the important work they do in the community - supporting men’s mental and physical wellbeing through friendship, hands-on projects, and a strong sense of purpose.
It was a fantastic reminder of how vital these community spaces are - not just for the men involved, but for the families and neighborhoods they help strengthen.

There was no shortage of fun activities for guests, no matter their age! Parents and children snapped beautiful photos together, had their faces painted, showed off their crafty creations, and were star struck by some special guests!
Thanks to our two incredible face painters, kids were transformed into magical creatures, superheroes, and adorable animals. Angie from Scribbles Face Painting and Teresa from Glitter Pop Facepainting are truly experts at their craft, creating genuine works of art on the face of every person that sat in front of them. From butterflies to sharks, the imagination was endless!
Our friends at Allwright Entertainment brought the photo fun with a pop-up photo booth full of props and playful energy. Kids beamed with joy as photo strips printed out, capturing memories of silly faces and laughter with their friends and siblings.
The amazing crew from 2U Event Hire set up an exciting and interactive farmyard right in our car park! Families had the chance to feed, pat and cuddle the goats, bunnies and sheep. Younger children learned the importance of using "gentle hands" when interacting with animals while the older kids got the chance to learn more about their favourite farmyard animals!
We were so lucky to have Party Mascots Australia send over our good friends Bluey and Bingo to surprise our families! Their unexpected visit brought huge smiles, happy squeals, and unforgettable moments for kids and parents alike. From warm hugs to playful waves, Bluey and Bingo made the day even more magical. It was a joy to see families light up with excitement as they met two of their favourite characters in real life!
