Exploring Music, Nature, and Safety Incursions at Aspire Wollert

There is a huge focus on incursions at Aspire Wollert. We believe in providing children with engaging and enriching experiences that foster their curiosity, creativity, and love for learning. Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting multiple exciting incursions that left a lasting impact on our little learners.

Rhythm Fun with Joe

Joe from Rhythm Fun brought all of his energy and enthusiasm, creating a vibrant and interactive experience for our children. With a variety of musical instruments in hand, he introduced them to the wonderful world of rhythm and sound. His passion for music was contagious, filling the room with joy and excitement.

The children were thrilled to explore drums from all over the world, experiencing the unique sounds and beats each one produced. From African djembes to traditional hand drums, the session was a wonderful journey through global music traditions. Joe also brought along his rock ‘n’ roll band drum, giving the children a taste of the high-energy beats that make up this exciting genre of music. In addition to the drums, Joe introduced a variety of percussion instruments that allowed the children to experiment with different sounds and rhythms. Triangles, scrapers, rhythm sticks, and maracas were all part of the musical fun! This provided a hands-on opportunity for every child to participate and create their own music.

Butterfly Adventures Incursions at Aspire Wollert

The amazing incursion from Butterfly Adventures took our children on a truly magical journey through the life cycle of a butterfly. Through engaging stories and captivating songs, they not only learned about the transformation from caterpillar to butterfly but also sparked their curiosity about nature and the environment. As a result, their understanding of the natural world was greatly enhanced, encouraging them to explore further and appreciate the wonders around them.

One of the most exciting parts of the incursion was the opportunity for children and staff to step inside a small enclosure and interact with real butterflies. This allowed them to observe the creatures up close, fostering a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural world. This experience was especially thrilling for the younger children.

Learning About Safety and Emergency Response

Safety is a crucial part of a child’s early education. Because of this, one of our recent incursions at Aspire Wollert focused on teaching children the importance of emergency response. They learned how to call 000 in case of an emergency and gained basic skills in CPR.

This engaging and informative session empowered children with knowledge and confidence in handling emergency situations. Then, at the end of the session, they proudly received a participation certificate, recognising their learning and achievement.

Aspire Wollert is dedicated to offering diverse learning experiences that inspire and engage our children. These exciting incursions not only brought joy and fun but also enriched their knowledge in music, nature, and safety.
