Life's Little Treasures

Our Partnership with Life's Little Treasures Foundation

We are thrilled at Aspire to have an amazing partnership with Life's Little Treasures Foundation (LLTF). LLTF is one of Australia’s leading charities dedicated to providing practical support and information to families with premature or sick babies. Aspire is honoured to have formed a partnership with an organisation that closely aligns with our values, and to have the platform to bring awareness to staff and families about LLTF’s cause and resources. Learn more below about LLTF and the initiatives we’ve participated in together.

About Life’s Little Treasures Foundation

Founded in 2005 by parents who had experienced having a premature baby first-hand, LLTF truly understands the challenges these families face. Their vision is to ensure these families have easy access to critical resources and community support during such a challenging time. LLTF provides resources and information to support families and offers continued assistance to help ease the transition from hospital to the home environment.

As well as providing critical resources, LLTF runs programs and events throughout the year to help raise awareness and increase community support. Visit their website to access these valuable resources, learn more about their fundraising events, or make a donation.

Aspire’s Initiatives with LLTF

Since the start of our partnership, our Aspire community has taken part in several initiatives to raise awareness of the invaluable work done by LLTF. These have included the Heart-a-Thon, Children's Book Drive, Meal Drives, LLTF's Walk for Prems, and Picnic for Prems. Running these initiatives at a centre level has brought attention to LLTF and given children an understanding of supporting a charity and helping others. Learn more about these amazing initiatives below.

Walk for Prems

Walk for Prems is the largest annual fundraiser by LLTF and takes place at nine locations across Australia during the month of October. Through our partnership with LLTF,  Aspire has been a sponsor of Walk for Prems, helping to raise awareness and support for these events. In 2023 and 2024, Aspire representatives attended the Melbourne and Bendigo Walk for Prems events, walking together for a good cause. We had a Aspire marquee set up at these events with fun activities for the children to enjoy.

Picnic for Prems

In 2024, LLTF introduced a new campaign called Picnic for Prems, another initiative to help raise awareness and support. This was a great way for Aspire to get involved, as many of the children at our centres love setting up picnics and spending time outdoors. Our centres had beautiful displays set up to raise awareness about the campaign, and organised picnics with their different age groups.

We were extremely thankful to our Aspire community who donated to the cause, with Aspire raising the most donations last year –an incredible achievement by our community!

Heart-a-thon

In 2023, Aspire participated in a Heart-a-thon to craft pocket hearts for LLTF. LLTF developed the Little Bag of Calm, as a gift for parents who have a baby in the neonatal unit. Within the bag, is a pocket heart. These hearts, hand-sewn with love and care, serve as heartfelt keepsakes for families to hold close and treasure.

The Aspire community enthusiastically got involved in the Heart-a-thon initiative and together crafted a massive total of 12,531 pocket hearts, which were donated to LLTF. We were extremely grateful for our community in getting involved and making a difference in the lives of numerous families.

Book Drive

To celebrate Children’s Book Week, Aspire participates in a Book Drive, supporting LLTF. The aim of the book drive is to donate picture books for children to enjoy while they are spending extensive amounts of time in hospital with their families.

Many of our Aspire families have been kind enough to participate and donate a copy of their child’s favourite book. Cards were also written with special messages, and calico bags were decorated by the kinder children to be delivered with the books. These books are then distributed to families through the Life’s Little Treasures Foundation hospital program and add a special smile to families who are doing it tough.
